Mixed E20 rat cortical cultures stained with rabbit polyclonal antibody to aldehyde dehydrogenase 1-L1 (ALDH1L1) RPCA-ALDH1L1 and mouse monoclonal antibody MCA-1A1 to Aldolase C. Nuclei of neurons and glia are seen in blue with the DNA stain DAPI. 31.5 megapixel image, print is 24” X 36.” at 194 DPI. To see a larger version of this image, as part of a slide show of our other images, go here.

Image was taken on a Olympus FV1000 confocal microscope fitted with a programmable stage which allows a series of images to be taken and then merged into one large image.

This image was made with our rabbit polyclonal antibody to aldehyde dehydrogenase 1-L1 (ALDH1L1) RPCA-ALDH1L1 in green and our mouse monoclonal to aldolase C MCA-1a1 in red. Blue is the DNA intercalating agent DAPI, which is in the Vestashield mounting medium we normally use (Vector labs Cat#1200). Cells were derived from E20 rat brain and were processed using our standard procedure outlined here.
