HeLa cells stained with our rabbit polyclonal antibody to c-Fos, showing strong induction of c-Fos expression following stimulation with serum.

Left: HeLa cells were serum-starved for 36 hours, then stained with our purified rabbit polyclonal antibody to c-Fos RPCA-C-Fos-AP (red) and chicken anti-vimentin (CPCA-Vim green). Right: the same serum-starved HeLa cells were stimulated with 20% FBS for 2 hours, and stained with the same antibodies as in left panel. Nuclear DNA is revealed with DAPI (blue). Serum starvation depresses c-Fos expression while serum treatment for 2 hours strongly stimulates c-Fos expression. As a result c-Fos localizes in the nucleus in stimulated HeLa cells. The c-Fos antibody was used at a dilution of 1:1,000 from a 1mg/mL solution. The vimentin antibody was used at a dilution of 1:100,000. Cultures were processed using our standard fixation and staining procedure (described here). To order this antibody go to our order form (here) or use our on-line store here.
